Man threatened to burn woman |

A man was remanded in custody after Kilmainham District Court heard that he had made threats to the life of a woman on St Patricks Day of last year. Sean Ryan (31) of Kilinarden Estate in Tallaght was also charged with slashing the woman’s tyres and breaking her mobile phone. The court also heard that he threatened to burn and petrol bomb her house at Earlsfort in Lucan. |
Fifty-three-year old Patrick Flynn pleaded guilty to breaking a safety order and damaging the front door of a family home on February 21 last. Flynn, of Labra Park in Ballyfermot, has since commited himself to joining the pioneers. The man was fined £100 and ordered to pay for the damaged door. |

A 20-year-old man pleaded guilty to criminal damage in the local District Court last week. John Canning of Kildare Road in Crumlin, took possession of a car and crashed into railings on James’ St. The car was written off and £1,500 worth of damage was caused to the railings. Judge Gillian Hussey sentenced the defendant to 11 months imprisonment. |
A 21-year-old man from Romania was remanded in custody to April 29 by Judge Gillian Hussey. He was charged with sexually assaulting a 38-year-old woman at Clanbrassil Street on March 2. The man had taken up independent bail of £1,000 and awaits in remand for directions from the DPP. |

A Clondalkin man charged with attempting to rob Reynold’s shop on St Bridget’s Road in Clondalkin appeared in the local District Court. Twenty-eight-year old Peter Jordan of St John’s Crescent in Clondalkin was also charged with stealing a motor bike and possessing a hammer with intent to harm others. |
A 25-year-old mother of two was found guilty of Larceny in Kilmainham District Court last week. Linda Dunne was found to be in possession of a wallet reported stolen from a customer from McDonald’s in O’Connell Street. She was also charged with being a passenger in a vehicle stolen from Thomas St on February 18. The court was told that Dunne, who has been a drug addict for six years, had tried to attend the Coolmine Drop-in centre, but was unable to get a permanent place. Ms Dunne is currently serving a nine month term which was extended by a further twelve months, to be served consecutively. |
