Too much time on your hands at college? Love to
waste your parents money on high telephone bills while your supposed to be
studying for exams? or this stuff actually interests you? Well then check out
some of the following sites but don't send any complaints to me (or telephone
bills)

A great site from a Venture group from Glasgow. Great
pics of some of their activities involving eggs, flour, mud and wrestling! -
just what a venture group should do during their weekly meetings!
A real annoying page and i guarantee you will not get
to read all of the messages before you are compelled to smash up your
computer!!
A great organisation which will send you off to
countries like Belize, Mongolia, Chile and Namibia to help out on charity
projects, such as building playgrounds and bridges, and do things like
great barrier reef research and 300km canoeing trips. Each expedition
lasts 3 months and you have to raise some of the money through sponsorship.
Check out the site for more details get in touch with me and I'll pass on more
info.
This website provides an e-mail service with a
difference. You get to pick your e-mail from millions of ready prepared
addresses. Topics include celebrity names, football chants and the weird &
funny. I managed to grab dykey@iloveyourmother.co.uk
!! Their service is also very good.
Now this is incase you have way to much time on your
hands. A taxi driver in New York has stuck a webcam onto the dashboard of his
cab and lets the world see all the traffic-jams that the city can offer.
"Experience the thrills of New York without leaving home" .....so
very sad!!
any suggestions for next month to Derek at:

Those of you who are regular
visitors to the venturer website may have noticed a lot of changes over the
last number of weeks. The site is getting a complete revamp. The first change you’ll
have noticed is we’ve now got a new domain: www.irish-venturers.org
The website has been knocking
around in some form or another since Septemberr ’97 but was mainly just an
online version of In-Vent. It’s only in the last few mounts it’s become popular
so we’re putting a lot of time into it. We’re constantly adding new features.
You can now book online for any national activities, register/change your
venturer secretary, and the venture file system and other resource information
are slowly being added.
Also in an attempt to address some
of our communication problems, we've put together an electronic mailing list.
Those on “The List” will receive emails from the National Team or Forum
Committee, letting you know what’s happing in venturer circles.
A brief survey carried out at the
forum indicated that at least one person in every Venturer Group had email. So
if we manage to get them on “The List” we should have a valuable communication tool.
You can subscribe from the website. Venturer secretaries needn’t worry they’ll
still receive In-Vent as usual, through the post.
Mail from this list will be
infrequent and we’ll try to keep it sensible, so you don’t have to worry about
us filling your mailbox with junk every week.
Note: Our old email addresses will
continue to work but for future reference here are our new emails
