As I
stand here typing this, I’m reminded why I can’t sit down i.e. the
coast-to-coast cycle and a saddle made of role mat and tape. Hopefully the rest
of you who were with me on the, Sligo to Dublin (via Enniskillen and Timbuktu)
trek have recovered. As for the rest of you Jessies, you missed another cracker
of a weekend venturer style. You can read all about it here (thanks once again
to Barry Murphy in-vent’s ace on the scene reporter), or check out the web page
for a few pictures of the weekend. While were on the subject, if you haven’t
been for a while check out the website at
http://www.irish-venturers.net it
had a few hundred new improvements.
The one and only Cáirde Camp-craft
Competition is on its way, you can find a booking form inside. You should take
note of the Dates (30th June to 2nd July), it has been
moved one week forward from what was previously advertised on the national
calendar. Having seen some of the things Brian has lined up for this year
Cáirde I know for one I’ll be there, and you’d want to be a few eggs short of
an omelette if you’re planning to miss this one.
The
Final Irish Sleibhte (Maoil Rea, Galway) is the next national activity, which
is coming up in June so don’t forget you need to attend two Irish Sleibhtes to
do the Scottish one. You can find out how the last one went thanks to Our
newest addition to the national venturer team Threase Courtney.
I like
to thank once again all our contributors, and remind you once again that this
is your magazine and can only be published if you keep the articles coming in.
All the articles this month come from Dublin Units, what happened to the rest
of you?
Untill
Next time,
