About this Web Site

Atari Falcon 030 (9K)This webite was constructed entirely using a C-LAB Falcon MK.X Computer. This machine is a clone of Atari's last released machine, the Falcon 030.

The computer has 14MB RAM, a 65MB Hard disk, External SCSI ZIP 100 Drive, HP Deskjet 600 Printer, Epson GT-5000 Scanner, Genius 33600 Fax Modem, 14" Colour Monitor - Screen resolution 800x608x256 colours.

The operating system is the multitasking OS for Atari's and compatibles, MagiC version 5.11. As released by Application Systems Heidelberg and distributed by System Solutions.

The following operating system enhancements are running on my computer:
NVDI 5.01 - STiNG - OLGA - BubbleGem

The basic HTML for this page was written using the text editor Everest. Everest supports abbreviation files, whereby typing a few letters followed by [Esc] expands a pre-defined abbreviation. Hence HTML codes and procedures can be rapidly entered. HTML was viewed simultaneously in the WWW browser, CAB. OLGA (Object Linking for Gem Applications) allows the interface of Everest and CAB - as soon as the file is saved in Everest, it is displayed in CAB, making it possible to instantly view the HTML.

Images were acquired using the Epson scanner, using the driver software GT-LOOK II. Images were then refined/edited using HiSoft's TrueImage software. TruePaint was used to create button graphics and page titles.

Final image manipulation was carried out by the shareware GrafTool.

The website is maintained on the Telecom Internet server using the FTP software AFTP. This software supports drag-'n-drop making it easy to copy files to the remote server.
