Cornaher House lies in the heart of the Irish midlands. It is situated half way between Tyrrellspass and Kilbeggan on the N6 (main Dublin to Galway road) in County Westmeath, a county of lakes and legends. The house is an early 19th century residence of distinguished Georgian heritage, surrounded by 150 acres of rolling parkland. It has recently been restored to its original splendour. The bedrooms are all en-suite and feature all modern comforts.
Cornaher offers wonderful country walks through it's own grassland, woodland and bogland. Part of the Esker Riada also lies within its boundaries.
These are no mad cows!
The house is perfectly located for golfing, fishing, horse riding, cycling, clay pigeon shooting, Belvedere House and cruising on the Grand Canal, with the famous Kilbeggan Racecourse & Locke's Whiskey Distillery 5 minutes' drive.
Both Tyrrellspass and Kilbeggan are a 2 minute drive and each offers a variety of restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions. Tullamore and Mullingar, both within a 20-minute drive, offer a wide range of facilities.
Jill and Dougal
The owners pride themselves in their organic farm and friendly stock of cattle along with Jack and Jill, a mismatched pair of dogs, and some very furry cats!
