South Eastern Health Board and Environmental Protection Agency asked to investigate the causes - Cllrs. John Dwyer and Anthony Kelly
Following meetings with concerned residents, councillors John Dwyer and Anthony Kelly are asking that "complaints of lung problems in the Castlebridge area be investigated by the South Eastern Health Board and the Environmental Protection Agency"
"Serious concerns have been expressed by parents who are fearful for the health of their children so much so that local people have contacted the European Environment Commissioner, Margaret Walstrom. We are pleased to hear that she has in turn responded, expressing a personal interest in the matter."
