The New Look of Ballyfermot Road

Anyone who lives and works in Ballyfermot will be aware of the major road and building work being carried out since the beginning of the year.

 Bus Lane at shops
Most of the work is being done on creating a bus lane and new pedestrian area on Ballyfermot Rd.. Parking is also being redesigned around the main shopping area, this also includes parking meters being introduced in front of the shops. New Paving at Shops
New paved areas, bicycle parking and benches have been placed here too. Bicycle parking
The roundabout at La Fanu Rd has been removed and a new junction is being created to relieve the traffic problems it caused. Although at the moment it is causing some serious jams. Major Roadworks
