We are the agent in Ireland for sales, service & support of digitising equipment and software. We provide you with sales & service of a system that will enable you to copy or measure complex 2D & 3D surfaces & convert them in to CAD data or produce CNC programmes. Scanning or digitising is the process of gathering data about an undefined 2D or 3D surface. It can be used for many different types of applications, & currently there are over 2,500 systems installed worldwide. During the digitising process a stylus is commanded to contact & move back & forth across the unknown surface. During this process the system records information about the surface in the form of numerical data. This data may then be used to create a CNC programme to machine a replica or geometric variant of the shape. Alternatively the data may be exported to a CAD/CAM system for further processing. In the case of laser digitising the process is the same, but in this case the contact stylus is replaced by a laser spot. Digitising is used in such diverse industries as footwear, jewellery, rapid prototyping, turbine blade manufacture & inspection, moulds & dies, automotives, coins & medals, dentistry, pattern-making, confectionery & many more. It can be used wherever there is a need to reproduce a complex free-form shape.
If the answer to any of the above is YES, then you should contact us; we will be glad to discuss your particular application in detail. Contact us for sub-contract options. Click hereDigitising can give you the means to reduce your product development time cycle. The flexibility of the system means that you can use it as a method of "Rapid Prototyping" or for general production. You can create actual "hard" first-offs or prototypes from "soft" patterns in days instead of weeks. Provide a CAD data "framework" from which to start a new design rather than starting from a blank screen. Copy existing shapes or mould tools rather than waiting for someone to provide you with CAD data.
