Walking
There is a walking route from Castletownbere over the mountains
to Allihies it is off road and moderately difficult. Good

Car
From Cork: take the N71 to Bandon,
turn right at the bridge for Dunmanway and Bantry. Then follow
the R586 to Bantry. Take the N71 to Glengarriff. Turn left
onto R572 to Castletownbere. Travel the main road to Allihies.
