A Reader Review
Very Interesting and enlightening, April

Reviewer: quikcurl (see

I read and collect books on this subject. This book is
one of my favorites. I find many facets of Chinese
culture interesting and thought provoking. Inside this
book I have found other subjects that I have enjoyed
reading up on and exploring. It is well written and very
interesting and laid out well. And I have learned much
more about myself than I would have guessed when I
started reading this book.

A Reader Review
A inside journey to face perception,
February 25, 2002
Reviewer: Tome' from
Lisbon - Portugal
This was one of the books that changed the way I see
people around me.
In a strictly scientific analysis, Zebrowitz explores the
tendency to judge people by the way they look. Why? Can
we trust it?
Almost all book is devoted to this first question - why
we do it? And explains why we find some faces more
atractive than others, the sex-appealing face cues, the
main parts of the face that we look at and if they have
some link to the way people are (their behaviour and
personality).
The final chapter concludes that there is no scientific
evidence that we can link the facial cues to one's
personality. However the interesting thing of the book is
the scientific facts and studies that you get to know
before you come to the conclusion.

A Reader Review
Easy to read, easy to learn, fun to apply. You'll
be a hit!, January 18, 1998
Reviewer: A reader from Colorado Springs, CO
Initially skeptical, I tried using the techniques in this
book to make guesses on the predispositions of friends. I
was astounded at the accuracy - running 80-90%. My
friends think I'm psychic. More important, the advantages
to business give me a whole new edge. Not as many
charactieristics as "The Naked Face" but easier
to use immediatly, more pragmatic, and less judgmental.

A Reader Review
Insightful approach to the age old art of face reading,
January 20, 1999
Reviewer: Teresa Dane
(tdane@mistral.co.uk) from London, UK
As a physiognomist (face reader) I read every book I can
find on face reading, but nothing I have seen comes close
to The Power of Face Reading, except, perhaps, Rosetree's
previous book, I Can Read Your Face.
Based on the premise that "God Don't Make No Junk,"
Roestree's insightful, humorous, lively and, above all,
loving, system of face reading is a welcome and
refreshing approach to a subject so often treated in a
negative and judgmental fashion.
The Power of Face Reading offers an easy to learn,
invaluable tool for men and women desiring to know and
appreciate one another, for salespeople trying to meet
the needs of their customers, for parents and teachers
wishing to understand and communicate effectively with
children and teenagers discovering who they are and want
to be - in other words, for everyone. --This text refers

Book Description
The human face can be an open book if you know how to
read it--and that's what the Chinese art of mian chiang
teaches you. Did you realize rectangular-shaped ears
indicate intelligence, long eyelashes reveal a soft
heart, and curly hair hints at a smart but fickle person?
By looking at each feature, you'll discover how to
instantly determine anyone's true nature and fortune,
anticipate behavior patterns, and fine-tune relationships.
Begin with the shape of the face, with its mixture of yin
and yang; the five elements, with their different
characteristics; and the ten basic patterns. Individually
travel across the ears, eyes, brows, nose, cheekbones,
mouth, teeth, lines, chin, hair, skin, and forehead,
deciphering their appearance and position. Drawings and
charts firmly guide you on this voyage through the human
face, while special sections on facial and body language
(especially flirtation) further deepen your knowledge.
