Ballinaglera were the opposition in the quarterfinal of the senior championship, and the Bors first round. After a totally committed display we had too much for the gallant 'Glera men and we looked forward to a semi-final contest. Fenagh were to prove our opponents and, written off by most people bar ourselves, we gave as well as we got being decidedly unlucky not to take the spoils at the first attempt. Two weeks later we re-engaged in Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada. Four minutes to half time we were well in control with a six point advantage. However three quick Fenagh breaks later we found ourselves a point in arrears entering the interval. We fought tooth and nail to regain parity and seize the initiative but Fenagh qualified for the final by a two-point margin.
