Underage Results 1999
Under 21
This year Bornacoola took our first ever under 21 title, by beating Mohill in the final, and the team which had started our glorious run of success by reaching two under 12 finals at the beginning of the decade finished the decade with the under 21 championship. It is worth noting that this particular team reached the final of each of its nine competitions played over the years, taking Six County titles.

Minor
The `98 Minor League was not completed until November past where we duly accounted for Gortletteragh in the November final. This completed a three-in-a-row of Minor doubles, a feat never before achieved, in Leitrim Minor club football history. Our '99 campaign was, unfortunately, not as successful, and we lost out to our neighbours Gortletteragh in both the League and Championship, in the final and semi-final respectively.

Under 16
Having qualified for the `98 Division 2 League final last October, the `99 competitions took precedence and it wasn't until September that Drumkeerin deprived us of two-in-a-row. We struggled in `99 competition, with too many players far too young and physically not strong enough for this grade. The championship yielded just a draw in March while the Dolan Cup offered a second chance after a draw with Annaduff. We lost the replay and in the league, victory over Aughavas was followed by double defeat by Carrigallen, the second of which was a Division 3 semi-final.

Under 14
Our boys were in a group in which we were semi competitive. The stronger teams were a step above the rest and we ended up in Division 3 of the league. A physically light team, but very spirited they took on all comers to reach the final. Opponents Eslin proved too strong and we congratulate them on their first ever underage success as they romped to victory in late August.

Under 12
The youngest club team fared very well narrowly failing to reach the divisional final but would ply their league trade in Division 2, an upward turn after two seasons in Division 3 at this level. We were very competitive winning two, drawing two and losing just one, including a notable draw with eventual Champions Melvin Gaels.
