Membership
Club membership is now nearing an end. Anyone looking for
tickets for next weeks match must have their membership
paid. The cost 15.00 per adults and 25.00 for

Donegal/Down Match
Anyone interested in going to the Donegal/Down match on
Sunday 2nd June need tickets for the Stand only. Terraces
admission on the day. Children U-16 are free.
Training
Training continues in Pearse Memorial Park on Tuesday and
Thursday evenings for Senior/Reserve and U21 and Minor
Teams.
U-10s
The U-10s continue to train on Wednesday evenings. They
competed in the Aodh Rua Blitz last Saturday and were
victorious in the B Competition with the As acquitting
themselves very well. The U-10s will compete in the next
Blitz this Saturday in Dungloe.
U-12 Boys
The U-12 Boys continue training on Thursday evening at 5.30
p.m. Last Monday they had victories over Aodh Rua A and B.
Next Monday 3rd June they are at home to Bundoran.
U-14 Girls
The U-14 Girls had a good victory over Killybegs at home
last Thursday 23rd May at Pearse Memorial Park.
U-14 Boys
The U-14 Boys had victory over Four Masters last Week.
Next Wednesday 5th June they are at home to Glenties at 7.30
p.m. They continue training this week at Pearse Memorial
Park.
U-16 Boys
The U-16 Boys won the first leg of their Championship
against Killybegs in Ardara last week. This week they
will play the return leg in Killyebegs.
Senior and Reserve
The Senior and Reserve Teams are at home to Aodh Rua this
Bank Holiday Monday in Pearse Memorial Park.
Ulster Schools Senior Final
The St Columbas Comprehensive Senior Girls reached the
Ulster Schools Senior Final played in Fermanagh last
Thursday against Ballybay of Monaghan. A good first half
display showed a lead of two points. The second half did
not show what they are made of and they were unfortunate
to lose. Well done to all the girls who did the school
and club proud.
Minors
The Minors have no matches until the end of the exams.
They continue to train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Polo shirts, Fleeces, tracksuit bottoms and jackets are
available. We are hoping that all Managers will encourage
the children to wear the Club gear when travelling to
away games.

against Kilcar on Sunday last and won on a score of (5-08)
to (1-07). They play the return leg of their Championship
against Killybegs in Fintra on next Monday evening at 7.30
p.m.

The St Columbas Comprehensive Senior Girls have reached
the Ulster Schools Senior Final to be played today in

Donegal/Down Match
Anyone interested in going to the Donegal/Down match on
Sunday 26th must leave their names with James McHugh this
week or early next week to give an indication of ticket
numbers.
Senior's
Training continues in Pearse Memorial Park on Tuesday and
Thursday evenings. The Senior team had a very successful
challenge on Sunday morning last in Belturbut. Thanks to
all the team and to Belturbut for their hospitality on
the day.
U-10s
The U-10s continue to train on Wednesday evenings. Ardara
hosted the first Blitz of the South on Saturday last. It
was very successful and thanks to the Tea Ladies who
provided refreshments for all on the day and to St Nauls
who won the A Blitz and to Ardara who won the B. The Next
Blitz will be held on Saturday 25th May with Aodh Rua as
Hosts. The U-10 Boys take part in the Community Games
Finals in Convoy this week-end.
U-12 Boys
The U-12 Boys continue training on Thursday evening at 5.30
p.m. They have had victories over Bundoran and Killybegs
in both A and Bs. Next Monday 20th May they are at home
to Aodh Rua.
U-12 Girls
The U-12 Girls will play a match this week-end. Last week
they had a convincing win over Killybegs (3-15) to (2-01).
U-14 Girls
The U-14 Girls had a convincing win over St. Nauls last
Thursday night. They will play Killybegs at home on next
Thursday 23rd May.
U-14 Boys
The U-14 Boys begin their campaign on next Wednesday 22nd
when they play Four Masters at home at 7.30 p.m. They
continue training this week at Pearse Memorial Park.
Feile
The Feile team took part in the Divisional Finals in
Glenties on Saturday last but were not successful. Thanks
to all the players who took part in the Competition.
Comprehensive Girls U-14
Congratulations to the Comprehensive girls U-14 team who
won the Schools U-14 girls Cup on Monday when they beat
St. Catherines Vocational School, Killybegs on a score of
(9-14) to (0-03). They are now through to the Ulster semi-finals.
This is a great achievement to the School and also to our
Club as they made up most of the Team. The Cup was
presented by John McGlanaghey to the Captain Ciara Mooney.

Membership
Club membership is now due from players and members.
Membership for the coming year will be 15.00 (adults)
and 25.00 (family) and it is important that all
players are registered members before the start of the

and Senior) in the coming weeks.
Tickets
Tickets for Sundays Match against Cavan will be given out
in Dohertys on Friday night from 9.00 p.m. until 11.00 p.m.
and also from Saturday morning at the Club Shop from 11.00
a.m. until 1.00 p.m. Persons interested should give their
names to James McHugh and collect their tickets at the
times above. No tickets will be available after 1.00 p.m.
on Saturday.
Senior, Reserve and U-21
Training continues at Pearse Memorial Park on Tuesday and
Thursday at 8.00 p.m. for all Senior, Reserve and U-21.

The U-10s will continue each Wednesday evening. This
Saturday 11th May the boys U-10s will take part in the
first Blitz of the Year and in Ardara with Aodh Rua,
Dungloe and St. Nauls taking part. It begins at 11.00 a.m.
and we would like to see parents to support the teams.
U-10s Community Games
The U-10s Community games semi-final for the boys has
been re-fixed for Sunday 19th May.
U-12 Girls
The U-12 girls continued their winning streak when they
had a convincing win over Killybegs on Saturday last in
Fintra on a score of (3-15) to (2-01). Training will
continue for them on Tuesday evenings.
U-12 Boys
The U-12 boys will train on Thursday at 5.30 p.m. Both A
and B teams had victories over Bundoran last week and
Killybegs this week. Next Monday 13th May both teams will
play in Mountcharles against St. Nauls.
U-14 Girls
The U-14 Girls play St. Nauls in Pearse memorial Park (to-might)
Thursday at 6.45 p.m.
Comprehensive Schhol U-14 Girls
The St. Columbas Comprehensive Schhol U-14 Girls Gaelic
team have qualified for the County final against
Killybegs Vocational School. This is the Ardara U-14 team
and the school team is under the management of Manus
Brennan. The School Senior Girls have progressed well and
have qualified for the Ulster Finals. This team is also
made of many of the Ardara Girls. We wish all concerned
from the Club - the best of luck. The match is hoped to
be played in Enniskillen around the week beginning 20th
May.
Feile Team
Well done to the feile team who are through to the next
round to the Regional Final on Saturday 11th may in

Underage Hurling Coaching has commenced in the Rossa Club
and players U-14 years from the Club are invited to

travel to matches. All are reasonable priced. Gemma will
be at the shop selling on Wednesday and Thursday evenings
for those who wish to purchase.
Holiday
The Holiday will take place in October (depart 26th for 7
days) to Playa del Inglis in the Canaries. A deposit of
100.00 is requested to be paid on or before this
coming Sunday 27th April. Deposit to be paid to John
McConnell or Ann McGhee. The first 40 names secure a
place on the trip. All are welcome including families.
Club History
The Club are currently putting together the Club History.
There is quite an amount of work involved in this. A
committee are currently at the moment working on this and
hope to have the book on sale for Christmas of this year.
We hope that the GAA people in the Parish and outside and
indeed those living away from home will co-operate with
the committee in researching the work. We are looking for
old photographs, team line-outs programmes etc of the
early years and indeed anything that may be of interest.
This is going to be a once off publication so we do not
want anything to be left out. Anything that will be sent
to us will be copied and returned. You may contact any of
