Confronting yourself
The most difficult thing about being a
Spiritual
Warrior is confronting yourself.
It is in those moments when you are free from the
distractions of the physical world that you have
the greatest chance for upliftment.
Take every chance you get because you will live in
this world, get married, have kids, spend your
life in slavery to car payments and house
payments, work eight hours a day, and die - and
you can take none of that with you.
The only thing that you can take with you - the
only thing that is going to live, and never die -
is the Soul.

THE TOP 10 CHARACTER BUILDERS
(c) 2001 CoachVille
It is less common to speak of someone having character
than it used to be.
It's still something special to be around someone who has
it.
1. Do it even if it's difficult.
2. Take responsibility for your choices,
your actions, and your consequences.
3. Know why you do what you do.
4. Be honest, and be true to your word,
both with yourself and with others.
5. Know your strengths, and work from
them. Know your weaknesses even
better, and avoid feeding into them.
6. Recognize your choices and use them
wisely.
7. Develop self-discipline and know how
not to overdo it.
8. Develop the ability to luxuriate,
know when it's time to stop, and be
able to stop.
9. Know the difference between what you
want and what you need.
10. Recognize and respect boundaries. Be
clear about your own, and give
equal value and weight to those of others.
"To get what you want STOP
doing what isn't working."
-- Dennis Weaver
UNITY
I offer you peace. I offer you love. I offer you
friendship.
I see your beauty. I hear your need. I feel your feelings.
My wisdom flows from the Highest Source. I salute that
Source
in you. Let us work together for unity and love.

THE COLOR OF FRIENDSHIP
Once upon a time the colors of the world started to
quarrel.
All claimed that they were the best. The most important.
The most useful. The favorite.
Green said:
"Clearly I am the most important. I am the sign of
life and of hope. I was chosen for grass, trees and
leaves. Without me, all animals would die. Look over the
countryside and you will see that I am in the majority."
Blue interrupted:
"You only think about the earth, but consider the
sky and the sea. It is the water that is the basis of
life and drawn up by the clouds from the deep sea. The
sky gives space and peace and serenity. Without my peace,
you would all be nothing."
Yellow chuckled:
"You are all so serious. I bring laughter, gaiety,
and warmth into the world. The sun is yellow, the moon is
yellow, the stars are yellow. Every time you look at a
sunflower, the whole world starts to smile. Without me
there would be no fun."
Orange started next to blow her trumpet:
"I am the color of health and strength. I may be
scarce, but I am precious for I serve the needs of human
life. I carry the most important vitamins. Think of
carrots, pumpkins, oranges, mangoes, and papayas. I don't
hang around all the time, but when I fill the sky at
sunrise or sunset, my beauty is so striking that no one
gives another thought to any of you."
Red could stand it no longer he shouted out:
"I am the ruler of all of you. I am blood - life's
blood! I am the color of danger and of bravery. I am
willing to fight for a cause. I bring fire into the blood.
Without me, the earth would be as empty as the moon. I am
the color of passion and of love, the red rose, the
poinsettia and the poppy."
Purple rose up to his full height:
He was very tall and spoke with great pomp: "I am
the color of royalty and power. Kings, chiefs, and
bishops have always chosen me for I am the sign of
authority and wisdom. People do not question me! They
listen and obey."
Finally Indigo spoke, much more quietly than all the
others, but
with just as much determination: "Think of me. I am
the color of silence. You hardly notice me, but without
me you all become superficial. I represent thought and
reflection, twilight and deep water. You need me for
balance and contrast, for prayer and inner peace."
And so the colors went on boasting, each convinced of his
or her own superiority. Their quarreling became louder
and louder. Suddenly there was a startling flash of
bright lightening thunder rolled and boomed. Rain started
to pour down relentlessly. The colors crouched down in
fear, drawing close to one another for comfort.
In the midst of the clamor, rain began to speak:
"You foolish colors, fighting amongst yourselves,
each trying to
dominate the rest. Don't you know that you were each made
for a special purpose, unique and different? Join hands
with one another and come to me."
Doing as they were told, the colors united and joined
hands.
The rain continued:
"From now on, when it rains, each of you will
stretch across the sky in a great bow of color as a
reminder that you can all live in peace. The Rainbow is a
sign of hope for tomorrow." And so, whenever a good
rain washes the world, and a Rainbow appears in the sky,
let us remember to appreciate one another.

YOU CAN BE WHOEVER YOU WANT TO BE
(c) Mentor Max
There are no real barriers to your success.
You must overcome any doubts you have about your ability.
Your self image prescribes the limits for your
accomplishments.
It prescribes the area of what is possible for you.
Don't be afraid of living.
Your belief that life is worth living
will help you create the fact around you.
If you see yourself as prosperous, you will be.
If you see yourself as continually hard up,
that's precisely what you will be.
You can never succeed until you believe you can succeed.
Everything is possible if you believe.
MESSAGE FROM CHIEF TECUMSEH, SHAWNEE NATION,
1768?-1813
"Live your life that the fear of death can never
enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion;
respect others in their view, and demand that they
respect yours.
"Love your life, perfect your life and beautify all
things in your life.
Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the
service of your people.
Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over
the great divide.
"Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting
or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely
place.
Show respect to all people and grovel to none.
"When you arise in the morning give thanks for the
food and for the joy of living.
If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies
only in yourself.
"Abuse no one and nothing, for abuse turns the wise
ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.
"When it comes your time to die, be not like those
whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that
when their time comes they weep and pray for a little
more time to live their lives over again in a different
way.
Sing your death song and die like a hero going home."
Love
"People who do not love themselves
can adore others, because adoration is making someone
else big and ourselves small.
They can desire others, because desire comes out of a
sense of inner incompleteness, which demands to be filled.
But they can not love others, because love is an
affirmation
of the living growing being in all of us.
If you don't have it, you can't give it."

Rejection
People seem to have been taught to choose
rejection. That is the amazing nature of this
earth's school, and too many of us have been
docile students.
Of course, we can also choose not to choose
rejection, but that takes a little more
individuality.
We can choose to bypass rejection and go for
acceptance and unconditional loving.

Wisdom
True wisdom lies in accepting your
responsibility
now, instead of waiting for time to change things,
to correct things, to prove you are right.

RISK
(Author Unknown)
Two Seeds lay side by side in the fertile Spring
soil.
The First Seed said, "I want to grow! I want to send
my roots deep into the soil beneath me, and thrust
my sprouts through the earth's crust above me . . .
I want to unfurl my tender buds like banners to
announce the arrival of Spring. I want to feel the
warmth of the sun on my face and the blessing of
the morning dew on my petals!" And so she grew.
The Second Seed said, "I am afraid! If I send my
roots into the ground below, I don't know what I
will encounter in the dark. If I push my way
through the hard soil above me I may damage my
delicate sprouts . . . what if I let my buds open
and a snail tries to eat them? And if I were to
open my blossoms, a small child may pull me from
the ground. No, it is much better for me to wait
until it is safe."
And so she waited.
A yard Hen, scratching around for food in the early
Spring ground, found the waiting seed and promptly ate it.
