Cattle

A bull is a male. A cow is a female.A baby cow is a calf . A boy calf is a bull calf and a girl calf is a heifer. There are many breeds of cow such as friesans and jerseys. She gives milk for cheese,yoghurt,cream and butter. A cow has 4 stomachs used to store grass. Because it is hard to digest grass the cow swallows the grass and later when she is resting she brings the grass back up and chews it. This is called chewing the cud.

Types of Cattle

The Belgian blue is white with blue spots. When it is born it has no spots at all.The Highland lives in the highest mountains in Scotland.The Charolais is yellow/gold. The Hereford is red with a white head.
