General Introduction
To work with the 68 parishes of Cork and Ross Dioceses in their work with young people.
Our purpose is to listen to, stimulate, encourage and support the life of the Young Church in
each parish.
Programmes
- From our office in 34 Paul St. we offer a wide range of information and support to
Parish Youth Leaders, young people and other youth work agencies.
- (G.I.F.T.) Growing In Faith Together - Parish based programme for twelve year olds,
following on their confirmation and encouraging them to understand their place in the
parish community.
- At Parish level there are a wide variety of young adult activities such as Folk Groups,
Young Adult Committees, Prayer groups, etc. which ask for training and resources.
We organise youth activity and training events on a regular basis.
Volunteer Profile
Young adults aged 18 and upwards who wish to explore and enrich their faith and
beliefs. They work together or with older adults often within their local parish
community.
