General Introduction
Scouting SAI is a multidenominational co-educational youth movement based on the
educational principles of use of the outdoors - working in small groups - learning by
doing - commitment to a set of values.
Aims & Objectives
The aim of Scouting SAI is to encourage the physical, mental, social and spiritual
development of young people so that they can take a more constructive role in society.
Programmes
A range of exciting outdoor programmes incorporating fun, challenge and adventure. They
provide the main stimulus for young people to participate. The programmes vary to suit the
age and ability of young people, who are encouraged to plan, organise and develop more of
their own activities programme includes:
Sailing, Canoeing, Hillwalking, Rockclimbing, Caving, Camping, International Explorer
Belts, Radio Hams, Standing Camps.
Beavers: 6-8 years. Cubs: 8-11. Scouts 11-15. Venturers 15-18.
