Trocaire:

Over the seven weeks of Lent we have tried to explain the work of Trocaire.

We have shown their emergency response to the horrific earthquake in India, where

40,000 people perished. We have also explained their work in counteracting the growth in modern day Slavery in African, Asian and South American countries.

What your money can do:

In Ethiopia £10 will allow Trocaire to provide high nutrition food to a child for 7 days;

In Mozambique £20 will provide seeds and tools to a family,

In Vietnam £30 will provide a health kit for a village clinic,

In India £600 will enable 10 freed bonded labourers to start a small co-op to support their families.

Your Trocaire Box will be collected at the Church doors on Holy Thursday at the 5pm and 8pm Mass in on Holy Thursday will also form part of the Trocaire collection.

Last year the Kells and Girley Trocaire collection passed the £10,000 figure for the first time. This year we hope for the same remarkable response.
