The journey to the 2001 World Youth Day (WYD) to be held next July in Toronto begins for the Diocese of Meath. WYD will give young people aged 18-30 a chance to meet Christ through their encounter with Pope John Paul and other young people from over 150 countries. The program for this event will allow them to deepen their understanding of their faith through the enjoyment of prayer, discussion, music and a fiesta on entertainment. CHURCH ROOF REPAIRS:
Scaffolding work in preparation for the new copper roof on the Parish Church in Kells will commence this Wed. 3rd October. The left hand section of the church grounds will not be available to pedestrians for the next 8 weeks i.e. there will be no entry to the Church from the left side door, mortuary door or nuns door.
We ask parishioners to use the front and right hand side doors. Alternate wheelchair ramp will be available on the front steps of the Church.
No car parking will be allowed anywhere in the churchyard Monday to Friday inclusive. Car parking will be available on Saturday and Sunday for weekend Masses.
We regret any inconvenience to parishioners but we must comply with safety regulations
