The Master of Laws - LLM Degree
 
The LLM Degree is designed by the University of London to allow people who already have a good degree or a professional qualification in Law to pursue advanced studies. The reason for study may be academic interest or career advancement in a very competitive field.

The University of London enjoys a national and an international reputation for excellence. Its graduates occupy senior positions in government and in commerce in all parts of the world. The external programme of the University of London maintains its high standards by involving the academic staff at its Colleges in the development of syllabuses and the marking of examination scripts.

The Degree is composed of sixteen modules.

This is a weekend course commencing in January 2009

The following areas of Law are offered:

 

Carriage of Goods by Sea
European Union Law
Company Law
International and Comparative
Commercial Arbitration

It is a contact course run over eight months, for one weekend each month, by highly qualified academics. It is planned to invite experts from the University of London to participate. The course is tailored for the Irish Market and the subject grouping will be listed on the degree certificate.

Since a limited number of students will be accepted on the course early enrolment is advised.
