Situated 5 miles south of Mullingar off the N52 on the shore of Lough Ennell. This three acre pond is surrounded by broad leaf woodland and is the perfect place to learn the secrets of trout behaviour and the gentle art of fly casting before tackling the larger loughs.

Comment by David Rice - John O'Malley, who runs this fishery, has long been associated with fishing in the Irish Midlands. John's new venture will enable people of all ages to learn the art of fly casting and fly fishing in a pleasant environment with a good chance of a big fish. On the day I visited, there were four double figure fish landed. John has also pitched his prices to give excellent value for the juniors wishing to learn. A facility like this has been long overdue in the Midlands and John deserves success and support.
