Fresh Promotions is the promotional end of Impulsive Records, and has been operating since 1994, under different guises, utilising Dean Sherry, Darren Nolan and Barry Dempsey as it’s key players. Fresh Promotions is a total Event Management, Theme Production & Club Promotion company, set up initially by Dean and Darren. Mark Kindillon also works closely with us as a Promotional Representative Manager and is a director of and runs Impulsive Merchandise. Fresh occasionally utilises some of the Impulsive crew also and, for specific events, the occasional added assistance of as a Alan Couch PR assistant. Our promotion caters for designs, print & distribution and radio & press adverts. We operate regular mailing list notices of events to various press as well as our database.

Fresh utilises the cream of Ireland’s DJ’s to perform but concentrates on the Impulsive line-up as they are tried tested and proven to be able to handle the job at hand, be it as a support DJ or a main feature artist. We opt for quality, not quantity regarding our agency.

Our main agency includes Dean Sherry, Barry Dempsey, Darren Nolan, Keith Sheridan, Rob Early, John Braine, and Adam Graham, including others. We exclusively operate these DJs but do contract others, plus hold the option to contract international acts as a booking agent.

Fresh Promotions has, previously, ran similar successful nights in various top venues including the P.O.D., the System, the Kitchen, Shaft, Republica, the Purty Loft (all in Dublin), the Tube (Bray), and the Sanctuary Of Sound (Thompson’s Garage) in Belfast, amongst many others.

We theme all our events and title them with recognisable names to identify them. All our names are protected and registered so that no other organisation can claim to host one of our named or theme events. Our business is audience entertainment and we consistently uphold that.

In clubs such as the Purty Loft (Dun Laoire) and the Tube in particular, Fresh Promotions almost immediately, turned an either non-existent or nearly empty venue into a successful packed out night. In the Purty, we were given full control of Sunday nights and we rammed it every week. We called it ‘SEVENTH HEAVEN’. This has proved one of our most successful theme residencies ever, as it is a retrospective weekend dance theme that can be implemented anywhere at any time. Residencies also include the POD, System, the Kitchen, Republica and Thompson’s Garage, Belfast.

In the Tube club in Bray we turned Sundays around from an unreliable 20-30 people in the club to a full and successful club night called ‘SHERRY TRIFLE’ with Dean Sherry. This introduced a whole new realm of opportunities to the club. ‘Sherry Trifle’, as well as ‘Seventh Heaven’, were both acclaimed and recommended nights out and were featured in various music press and newspapers. Some of them are still running today in clubs.

‘FUNKYSENSUAL’ first featured in the Attic, in Naas, Co. Kildare, and was a similar event and success but on a larger scale, and involved the usual line up of Fresh / Impulsive DJ’s as residents and each week featured a high profile Irish guest DJ. (Originally ‘STRICTLY GROOVY’).

‘RELEASE’ is the title of a full-on futuristic progressive house theme, and represents the cutting edge of the Impulsive Records music policy and top DJs. It has now been replaced by "PHUNK’DUP", which has been successfully touring around Ireland’s venues and colleges. This is now our flagship act and has proven to be a massive success, this theme act travelled to Istanbul in Turkey in March 1999 to represent Ireland to critical acclaim. This is now our flagship act.

We also successfully runs various other theme nights including the mega-successful ‘70’s theme costume party ‘SHAFT’. The music is more upbeat than most ‘70s nights, and an emphasis is put on dancing and keeping people up on the floor. Adam Graham is the leading DJ for this act.

Celebrities and UK press including Mixmag and Muzik magazines frequented some of the events staged in the P.O.D. and the Kitchen. Fresh’s ‘Seventh Heaven’ and ‘UP’ nights in the P.O.D. got a recommendation from Muzik Mag in regard to a Dublin club guide.

We have an extensive and professional DJ agency, catering primarily for dance music, our specialty, (all genres), but also functions and party DJs catering for any occasion. We also handle installations, involving sound & light on-site rigging and permanent installation & construction.
