"How many people have experienced foxes raiding chicken houses? Only those who are either too lazy to lock up their hens for the night or too careless. No one can expect a fox to walk through a pen of unshut-up hens singing 'yield not to temptation'. And foxes don't go around carrying screwdrivers with which to open locked hen houses. Anyway, the way the great majority of hens are kept nowadays, most foxes don't even know what a hen looks like. So that lets out the fox as a poultry killer."
