Activities of the NEHB The North Eastern Horse Breeders is a voluntary organisation, which is run by a Committee elected each year at the Annual General Meeting. This year's committee are: Chairman: Tommy McEntee During a typical year, the Group runs a Spring Seminar, an Autumn Seminar and a bus tour to a centre of excellence in the summer months. At the seminars, distinguished experts are invited to talk on their areas of expertise, and the audience are invited to ask questions. The Group has also organised Breeders Awards, where the breeders of horses which have gone on to perform well on the national and international stage are honoured. The Group also represents horse breeders' interests on a national platform, lobbying the government and other parties on behalf of the horse industry. One issue which was initiated by the actions of the NEHB was the setting up of a veterinary panel for the sales in Goresbridge. |
