Brian Flannery - New Executive Member

Mary McAteer - New Executive Member

We are delighted to welcome Mary McAteer and Brian Flannery onto the Executive. In keeping with our constitution which recommends that at least two new members be appointed each three years, we now have Mary and Brian.

In welcoming the new we say farewell to Teresa Nolan and Donald Moxham. They both have served iapce so very well. Both were involved in organising and facilitating a number of courses. Teresa led the West's involvement in iapce - ensuring that our courses were frequently organised west of the Shannon. We are delighted she is staying on as our primary contact in that part of the island. This presence will be evident on March 11th when the Year Head Course will be hosted in Carrick-on- Shannon (see details elsewhere in the Newsletter).

Donald was instrumental in the early days of the association - organising meetings of interested people, speaking on Tutor courses etc. We are in debt to you both.

So what about the new members - Mary McAteer is a teacher of Irish and Religion and year head in Loreto College, Stephens Green. She has completed the Higher Diploma in Pastoral Care in 1995. She has supported many of the early iapce initiatives. She hales from Rathmullan in Donegal. Brian Flannery a former teacher of English, is now with the Education Office of the Christian Brothers - dealing with over 100 schools. We warmly welcome you both and look forward to the new perspectives you will bring to the association.
