Templeogue Handball Club Finish Second and Third

Every summer, a Youth handball tournament is held in the Isle of Man. Teams from the Isle of Man, England, Scotland and Ireland participated this year, from the 23rd of July until the 25th of July. The competition ranged all the way from U-11 boys and girls up to the U-21 age group.

Two U-14 girls' teams from the Templeogue Handball Club participated. Templeogue A finished in second place and Templeogue B finished in third place. This was a really great achievement, especially as this is the first international tournament in which Templeogue Handball Club has participated. Templeogue B were beated in the semi final by one goal by the eventual winners, Southwest Handball Club from Bristol in England. Templeogue A were beaten by the same margin in the final.

All players competed really well and their coaches were very happy with their performances. Both teams were very dissapointed with their respective defeats. There was some consolation for not winning the tournament, as Jacqui Brady was awarded the prize for the best female player from all age groups.
