This coin is a penny of Edward IV's Cross on Rose issue of 1478.

This coin is the only type of penny in this issue.

The legends are only partly visible and read :

Obverse : EDWA[DG DNS HYB]
Reverse : CI[
VITA]S DVB[LIN]

Which translate as:
Edward by the Grace of God Lord of Ireland
City of Dublin

This coin is in Good Fine (GF) condition with some flatness in the design and with only part of the legends visible. This is a very rare issue and this coin is about as nice a specimen as can be found. Specimens which have both the king's name and the mint name legible, like this one, are very rare.

The number of specimens in existence is between 12 and 20.
