This coin is an example of an Irish Halfpenny of William III of 1696 (the only year of issue).

The legends are clear with no blundering and read:
(obverse) GVLIELMVS III DEI GRA
(reverse) MAG BR FRA ET HIB REX
Which translates/expands as
(obverse) William III by the grace of God
(reverse) Master of Britain, France and King of Ireland

This coin is a typical example of the draped bust type variety A (i.e. BR instead of BRI on the reverse legend)

The coin is in Good Fine (GF) condition. It has a significant old scratch on the obverse behind William's shoulder. Despite the low grade and the heavy scratch this is a nice example of this issue. Coins in this condition with a clear bust and reasonably strong legends are difficult to find and better examples are scarce. Coins in better than Very Fine (VF) are rare.
