This coin is an example of a shilling of Elizabeth I's second issue (called the Fine Issue). The mint mark is a harp (at the beginning of the legend on each side) The legends are clear with no blundering and read: (obverse)
ELIZABETH :. D'.G'.A'.F'.ET.HIBERNIE REG' Which
translates and expands to: The coin illustrated above is in good very fine condition (GVF) with the reverse slightly better. Unfortunately the portrait is a bit weak and slightly worn. However overall it is a very nice specimen and though there are some better ones known this is as good as is normally available on the market.
