And for anglers...
The O'Brien's are proudly continuing a long ancestral association with angling on the lake.
Lickeen Lake, has a good stock of wild brown trout, and within easy distance there is the River Fergus
system which offers more trout fishing, plus good stocks of prize pike and coarse fish in most of its
lakes. Sea fishing can be easily organised out of Liscannor and Ballyvaughan for a wide variety of
sea fish off the north Clare coast. Good shore angling is available off the rocky ledges of Ballyreen
and Blackhead coastline.
Facilities include:
drying room, 6 top class lake boats with all saftey gear, engines, tackle and
guide for hire.
All meals at Lakeside Lodge are available for anglers - the day's catch can be prepared for dinner.
