    John Shore

Tuning Fork John Shore invented the tuning fork. It is made of steel. He invented the tuning fork in 1711. He played the trumpet. He jokingly called it a pitch fork! He played the trumpet.

A tuning fork makes an extremely pure sound. The two prongs vibrate, move in and out, creating sound that makes a curving wave form.
