Irish heritage is rich with many such tales of our ancestors such as Na Fianna.Lough Gur is steeped with such tales kept alive by local storytellers.Tom McNamara tells the tale of Geroid Earla who rides his white steed around the lake every seven years.
The festival was first staged in 1995.Many top storytellers have come to tell their tales: Liz Weir, Rita Essick, Sean O Se, Bisi Adignn to name but a few. Storytellers from all over the world have added to the event.
