The Year in Review...

Community involvement is at the heart of any successful club and we try nurture
and encourage the interest and competitiveness of our younger members by tuition
and events throughout the year, fly tieing classes, competitions and social events
are just some of the initiatives driven by our club every year.


We've also had some success on a larger scale with 3 qualifiers for the Irish Team for
the World Championships in England this year.
Muarice Willis qualified in the Inter-provincial Championships held in the west of Ireland
and Billy Kavanagh Pat Buckley and Tom Whelan qualified in separate events on the
local Blackwater River. Shane Kelly joins his fellow qualifiers from a competition held in April.
Dick Willis holds the position of Team Coach for the Event.
We hope to capitalize on our gains from last Year where PJ O'Brien and Hugh Healy
represented their town and country in the world championships held in Australia.
