The Early Explorers

What is your task?

Explorers were brave and adventurous people, travelling the oceans in search of wealth, new worlds and new sea routes.

Your task, with a group of three or four friends, is to write a biography of a famous explorer.  Your biography should be approximately ten pages long and you may use your choice of the word-processing and publishing packages in the computer room.  When your biography is finished it will be bound and presented to the library.   

Your biography should include the following:

• a title page
• a table of contents
• details about the explorer's life
• at least one picture of the explorer
• a map of his journey
• the reason for the journey
• details about life aboard ship
• the explorer's achievements
• the impact on the countries discovered
• bibliography
