My Favourite Pastime

My favourite pastime is playing my Super Nintendo. I have a lot of games. I like playing racing games such as Micro Machines or Grand Prix Racing. I also like fighting games such as Mortal Kombat. Some of the games are for two players so my sister plays as well. In Summer we play football games. We divide up into teams and play matches. We hold competitions between all the teams. Sometimes I lie in my room and read books. At night I read my sister a bedtime story. I also like doing word-searches. My father is a breadman and sometimes I help him deliver the bread.

My Broad Bean

My broad bean has made progress. I planted it in class on the 12th of March. I planted it in a jam jar with cotton wool. The leaves on my broad bean are oval shaped. My broad bean has a white shoot. It also has a green shoot. It has a stem, a primary root and a secondary root. I like my broad bean. It is 2 cm long. I give it air water and sun. My broad bean is called Mr.Bean.

My Pet Dog Ivy

My name is Ronan Lally and I am writing about my pet dog Ivy. She is the youngest member of our family. Ivy was four months old when we got her. It was a birthday gift for my mother. The only dog food that Ivy likes is Pedigree Chum. Maybe it's because she is a full pedigree herself. We can't give her small chicken bones as that would cause her a lot of problems. Ivy loves when people pet her. She does not like when she is on her own. If you leave the room she will start to cry like a baby. We have to make sure that there is enough food and water for her every day. We take her to the vet once a year. She is sent twice a year to be groomed. Ivy gets very excited when she sees you with the lead because she knows that she is going somewhere.

My Trip to America

First of all I went by train to Dublin. I tried to play my Game Boy but my batteries were dead. Then I tried to sleep but I kept banging my head. I stayed in Meath for one night and in the morning I got on a plane for London. When we got to London we got on a plane for Washington D.C. We were on the plane for eight and a half hours. I walked around the plane. It was a two story plane. When I got to Washington it was snowing. I took 54 photographs around the city. I went to a restaurant called Fridays and I went on the subway six times in one day. I went to the Whitehouse. The next night my mother, father and brother went to an Irish pub called Ireland's Own. The owner was from Offaly and my brother got me a T-shirt and cap. I got the chicken pocks when I was in America.
