Thanks to all who attended the Justin Berkovi gig last week. If you didn't make it, you are a schmoe, tried to think of a better way to put it, but there is none! On the music front Aphex's label, REPHLEX has just reached it's 100th release. An album THE BRAINDANCE COINCIDENCE is out now and features some of the highlights from the last ten years of disturbed electronica.
Squarepusher seems to be back on form with his new track "My Red Hot Car" set for release on 21st May on Warp Records although the track is available as a free MP3 download (see links for Warp site)
The Oil Barons have also found out that NEIL LANDSTRUM is set to release an album before summer. About time too, the album is titled SHE TOOK A BULLET FOR ME. If it's any way similar to his previous sonic adventures you'll be hearing plenty at the ball. You can also look forward to his first appearance in cork soon. We are too good to you
Word on the street is that JAMIE LIDELL has completed an EP for SPYMANIA, not sure about the release date.
Work is also ongoing on the second SUPER COLLIDER album, with CRISTIAN VOGEL.
JR is very excited about this one: Twisted House/Funk/Madness is always nice, especially when it's of this calibre.
News just in is that the entire SATIVAE back catalog is in the process of being re-pressed
Whether you'll be able to pick up any of it in Cork is another matter......
