The
Royal Hotel has occupied its present site on the
southern shore of the Boyle River for over 250
years. Built as a select Inn by John Freeman,
Innkeeper and Maltster, it still retains many of
the original features. The hotel's Riverside
Restaurant, ove rlooking the river, places g reat
emphasis on serving the very best food. In a
hotel that is a favourite destination for anglers
and shooters it is probably not surprising to
find that local supplies of fresh fish and game
are the specialities of the house.
