INTRODUCTION

This is a school web-site, it came about as a result of a joint project between St. Joseph’s Secondary School in Stanhope Street, Dublin, Ireland and Grange Academy in Kilmarnock, Scotland. In April 2000 pupils from both schools got together and put on a number of live performances, both in Ireland and in Scotland. This followed research into Irish and Scottish music and collaboration between both schools. On this site we have provided some information about Ireland’s history and the way this history is recorded in song.
