a lot of pre-match talk from both camps, Strokestown showed
their class in this match. It
was even early on, Tulsk getting the first point but the match
soon tieing at 2 points all. From then on Strokestown started
to drift ahead, going up by 6 points to 2. A
messy goal close to half time gave Stroketown a lead of 1-9 to
Tulsks 4 points The
second half was a more dismal affair, Strokestown scoring
three points and Tulsk scoring 2 to leave Strokestown
comfortable winners. Were
it not for a high amount of misses and Tulsks dogged defending
the score might have been more embarassing for Tulsk. However
Strokestown were happy with the win and look forward to their
5th of January clash with Eire Óg in the semi-final. Team: R.
