Tip No 1 RJ45 Connection for G.703
The following pinouts are used to present G.703 / 2Mb to a customer on balanced 120 ohm RJ45 connectors .

The new Martis STU-320 come with a 9 Pin to RJ45 adapter which requires a rollover UTP 10BaseT cable as follows :

TIP NO 4 2MB AIS DETECTION
 

TO IDENTIFY THE TRANSMIT FOR 2MB CCTS ON THE DDF PUT A LED ACROSS CENTRE AND OUTER . IF THE LED ILLUMINATES THIS IS TRANSMIT IF NOT IT IS RECEIVE.

THE SIDE WHICH LIGHTS UP IS THE TRANSMIT OUT WHICH HAS A SQUARE WAVE AIS OF .775 VOLTS WHICH IS SUFFICIENT TO LIGHT THE LED WITHOUT BLOWING IT OR DAMAGING THE TRANSMITTER.
