In order to bring a Thai child into the country you will need to get
clearance from the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform. It is
imperative to ensure that your Declaration remains valid as without this you
will not be issued with Immigration Clearance. You must phone the
Department of Justice for an appointment, as they will not do this ‘off the
street’. Alternatively, you can submit your application by registered post.

Bring the following documents with you.
Original declaration
Long Form of Birth Certificate for both husband and wife.
Long Form of Marriage Certificate.
Two passport photographs of you and two of your spouse signed on the back.
A letter addressed To Whom it Concerns requesting Immigration Clearance to
adopt a child from Thailand (country must be specified) and signed by both of
you.
Please note that only the Long Forms of your Certificates are acceptable
tothe Department of Justice. All original certificates and documents will be
returned to you.
You will be issued with a laminated document which you should retain
carefully. NOTE: the Immigration Clearance is only valid when your declaration
is valid.
