See main story - an end has come to Renegade Treklist, USS Renegade, agus Renegade Station. USS Defender have a new multi-resolution non-frames page. The entry page still doesn't look right at high res, or low res. Finally Vulcan Flight Control have a decent menu interface, it's now possible to get around the place with much less bother. (And the layout won't kill slugs anymore) Star Trek in Sound and Vision have a tribute page to the late DeForest Kelley. There's a few new items at Sandro's Star Trek Homepage, including MP3 music and some new fonts. The Core has been quiet, as it's webmaster is busy, still, a new month of the Top 50 Trek Sites has begun. I think I was finally ranked around 12th or thereabouts last month. Starbase 24 broke their downloads section last month, hopefully it is back up to scratch now! Hielko's Download site moved, and now has a more complete selection of goodies in an easy to browse interface. There is a recent addition of complete TNG crew profiles, even Spot. Oh yes, TCZ launched Interface Version 5.0. Tell me what you think! |

Two years ago, a new website was begun on the Internet. The USS Renegade. It was a simship, a place for "simmers" to get together. But with it came the Renegade Treklist, an awesome Star Trek links archive. It was a better archive than any other at that time. An this remarkable acheivement continued, in the face of stiff opposition from the likes of Star Trek WWW. Before Christmas last, an end came to this huge database, the webmaster no longer had the time to keep all the hundreds of links up-to-date. In its place he put a much smaller archive of around 256 links. There was never the same degree of usefulness about it, but it was a useful resource. But, as they say, all good things come to an end, whether good or bad. During June, the USS Renegade, Renegade Station, and Renegade Treklist all came to an end. I now wish the webmaster, Ross Glenn, all the best. I have no doubt that his sites were enjoyed by many. |
