Who Qualifies ?

The Empower Fund Initiative was launched on July 31st, 2000 by the Minister for Science, Technology & Commerce, Mr. Noel Treacy, TD. Funding of €3.8 million has been allocated to this Initiative from "The Information Society Fund" which was established by Government to progress the objectives of the Government's Action Plan for the Information Society.

Empower is a nationwide e-business initiative which is being delivered by the City and County Enterprise Boards.

The objective of the Initiative is to ensure that small businesses maximise their potential through the Internet and e-business.
This will be achieved by offering a range of supports such as mentoring, training and grant assistance.

Those interested in availing of these supports will be asked to submit an application form.
