 The Adult Education Board allocated in excess of 8,000 teaching hours to the City of Cork  during 2001. 
In gathering the data for this report, 70% of forms were returned in and this accounted for 85% of the allocated hours for 2001. 

The data in this report is based on 6940 hours.

95% of the hours allocated were used in 2001 through individual community education groups within the city.

 When the data was examined, the allocation of hours across the networks was distributed, meeting the demands and capacity of the area, and subject to availability of funding, and calculating the ratio of hours to learners, it is possible to consider the use of time. as follows:
