The course is developed and facilitated by the Alliance Centre for Sexual Health for the Youth Health Programme, which is a partnership between the National Youth Council of Ireland, The hHealth Promotion Unit of the Department of Health and the Youth Affairs Section of the Department of Education and Science. It is currently being provided at Health Board level throughout the country.
Th Course is of two days duration and aims to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and competencies to address the issues of relationships, sexuality and sexual health with young people in an effective and sensitive way. The training is conducted using facilitative and group work methodologies, providing participants with the opportunity to contribute actively and to learn from others during the course.
Aim of the Course
To provide a sexual health promotion/education support and training service to youth organisations and to all those working with young people in the non-formal education sector.
