On the lawns outside we mark out a grass Tennis court when weather
permits, usually from mid May to early September. We have balls and rackets, and hope that
you have at least a short game as such courts are unusual these days. (also it breaks my
heart to be marking it out every other day or so and have nobody using it!) The upper lawn
is laid out for Croquet, a deceptively peaceful game which however can reveal a lot about
a persons character; perhaps every couple should play Croquet before they get wed. Of
course all of this overlooks the sea, and there are a couple of paths which lead down to
the shore. In the calm weather of summer, the beach is golden sandy when the tide is out,
a bit stony when it is in. 'Absolutely fantastic!!! Can't think of a nicer B&B. The views, the house, the people and especially Winnie!' Mark and Veronica |
