English Language Courses.
English Language Courses at Ashlingua are designed in full co-operation and consultation with learning guests, at the initial assessment/interview.
Courses in General
English, English for Special Purposes (e.g. Sales Personnel, Receptionist,
Airline pilot, Air Hostess etc.), Business English (e.g. Meetings, Marketing,
On the Phone etc.) are planned and devised to meet the needs and wishes
of each student.
Classes.
Formal classes take
place from 09.00 to 14.00, Monday to Friday, giving 20-25 hours intensive
class time per week.
Assignments and
Homework are also given, to practice and reinforce classroom learning.
Emphasis.
At Ashlingua we
place great emphasis on the importance of Oral English. Oral English skills
are developed continually, in class, at mealtimes, on social outings and
on holiday activities as Learning Guests are accompanied on most of their
Irish holiday activities by Ashlingua Tutors or family members.

Note: Courses B and C cannot be
booked on an individual basis. These courses are especially for couples,
partners, company/business or organisation colleagues at the same or similar
level of English (Beginners/Elementary, Lower Intermediate, Intermediate,
Upper Intermediate, Advanced) in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
