General Introduction
EIL is a world-wide Educational & Cultural Travel Organisation founded in 1932 to
promote international peace and friendship. Over 20,000 people take part in EIL programmes
in 30 different countries each year. It is a not-for-profit, non-political, non-religious
organisation with consultative status at UNESCO and the Council of Europe and Peace
Messenger status at the United Nations.
Programmes
- Incoming - over 700 people from 20 different countries are hosted by EIL in Ireland each
year.
- Outbound - Secondary school Programmes to France, Germany, Italy, Spain and USA.
Language Course in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, Russia, Mexico and Ecuador. USA
on J1 Visa: One Year Childcare/Study Programme. Homestay programmes in 30 different
countries all over the world. Multi National Programmes Save The Rain forest in Ecuador,
Kibbutz in Israel.
Further Information:
Volunteer host families, local representatives and leaders all over the country.
Scholarships available for various travel programmes and courses. EIL Ireland has its
