Oshamo Fly HooksOshamo fly hooks, the perfect meeting of feather and steel. Inspired by the fearsome Japanese Oshamo, the world’s largest fighting rooster, these hooks exhibit the strength, power and resilience for a tough fight. Their chemically sharpened conical points are purposefully designed to pierce flesh and bone. The high carbon steel, like a samurai sword, is perfectly tempered to give the right balance between strength and rigidity. The coating is a high strength lacquer that will protect the hook steel from the elements. The microbarb point as well as being stronger than a normal cut barb, allows easier removal of the hook when you have won your victory causing less damage to the fish Oshamo - the consummate fishing weapon. These hooks will be coming on stream throughout the year as different designs are developed. First on stream in a heavyweight competition wet fly hook, available in 10, 12 & 14 from stock now. This is similar to a B175 Kamasan or a Hayabusa 761. This type of hook constituted the vast bulk of my hook sales in previous years. I think you’ll like them. All trout hooks are needle pointed and chemically sharpened. Competition Wet FlyStrong Wire, Standard Shank, Microbarb, Sproat bend, Down eye.
