The Diploma course centres around six areas of study:

  • Liturgical Spirituality

Written assessments are undertaken in these core areas, as well as in a small number of other subject s which are chosen from a wide range of topics:

  • The Church
  • Introduction to Anthropology
  • Theology of Ministry
  • Gospel and Gospels
  • The Bible and its Cultural Background
  • Adult Faith Development
  • Social Ministries in the Church
  • Creation and Environment
  • Feminist Theologies
  • Inter-faith Dialogue
  • Morality and Cultures

Other courses which are offered to Diploma participants include

  • Introduction to Spirituality
  • Kinetic Spirituality
  • Engaging with Theology
  • Spirituality of John
  • The Integrated Self
  • Partners in Faith
  • Faith Journeying

Participants are encouraged to engage in their own reflection and research in theology, to take an active part in class discussions, and to acquaint themselves with the issues of the day.

Tutorial help and spiritual direction are available, if required, and there is access to an excellent library on the campus.
